in the 70s Margaret Thatcher sold off all the state owned industries, at that time there was little unemployment, the government had a lot of money because most people were working, after the sell of and the free for all jobs became scarce so no one was putting into the coffers the 1% reaped all the rewards and the 99% lost out big time, now there are millions out of work not putting into society and the government has no money because lots of people are unemployed. the UK used to be a much better place to live now it is worse than the US for money grabbing lets make more profit and pay people less money,
